Day 364: Rock The Vine Music Festival

Rock the Cause (RTC) is a non-profit that markets, staffs and promotes music events for other local and national non-profit organizations. By partnering with young artists and volunteers, RTC fosters volunteerism in the community.

Coming up Saturday June 4th, RTC is partnering with Youth Advantage and St. Croix Vineyards to host the second annual Rock the Vine Music Festival at St. Croix Vineyards in Stillwater. From noon to 5pm, the afternoon will be filled with live American soul and rhythm & blues from Minnesota artists.

Enjoy wine by the glass while the music plays. The afternoon features live sets from local old-time blues faves The Fattenin' Frogs, soulful indie rockers Pictures of Then, the soul, R&B and funk of the Devine Collection, and the genre-bending of local rock/funk/disco/R&B/reggae superstars Roster McCabe (pictured). Also, in the tasting room, catch performances by piano phenom Cadillac Kolstad and singer/songwriter/guitarist Nikki Matteson.

St. Croix Vineyards is donating 50% of all sales of wine by the glass to Youth Advantage, while Summit has agreed to donate 100% of its beer sales to the cause.

Tickets can be reserved online for $10 in advance, or you can pick them up the day of the show for $15. You can roll VIP for $50, which includes complimentary wine and beer tastings, VIP Lounge, appetizers, tour of the vineyard with the wine makers, cool Rock the Cause swag, and tastings from reserve and yet to be released wines.

Head on out next Saturday and enjoy the fruit of the vine and the fruit of the labor of our local soul and R&B music scene.
