I think it's safe to say there's not a person among us who doesn't enjoy a good laugh every now and then. If you look for it, there's lot of great opportunities here in the Twin Cities to catch a comedy show.
This weekend, Friday August 20th and Saturday the 21st, at Jensen's Supper Club in Eagan, you'll get that chance to get your chuckle on at their Comedy Showcase. The showcase stars local comedienne Tammy Nerby. Enjoy her zany outlook on life and her somewhat twisted take on marriage, family, and life in general.
Tammy's show is interactive, which often makes for an entertaining show. He quick wit and rapid fire delivery makes her a favorite among her audiences, which have included Fortune 500 companies to crop duster pilots from South Dakota.
Special guests for the showcase include Elaine Thompson, another regional comedian. Elaine grew up in rural North Dakota and got her start as a comedienne here in the Twin Cities. In fact, after moving up the ranks of the local comedy scene, she was eventually awarded the title of "Funniest Person in the Twin Cities."
Michael Orensteen is also a featured guest. Another local talent, Michael's comedy career started to take off after being "downsized" from his job as an airline pilot. This will be a hometown gig for Mr. Orensteen, a native of the western metro currently residing in Eagan.
