Champlin’s biggest summer celebration is back! The Father Hennepin Rescheduled Concert & Fireworks is happening on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Mississippi Crossings (307 E River Parkway, Champlin, MN). Since we missed the original June date, we have rescheduled it for this Friday, so now is your chance to experience this celebration and best of all, admission is free!

🎶 Live Music Lineup

Get ready for a full night of music and entertainment:

• 5:00 PM – Food trucks open (The Lookout, Kevin’s Gyros, Brick Oven Pizza Bus, Ku-Ma-In)

• 6:00–8:00 PM – Live performance by Weekend Rockstar

• 8:40 PM – Fireworks Show over the river

• 9:00 PM–Midnight – Dance the night away with headliner The Fabulous Armadillos

• Special Guest Preston Gunderson will perform at 5:00 PM and again at 8:00 PM on the turf stage

🍔 Food & Refreshments

Come hungry, because the food truck lineup has something for everyone:

• The Lookout – Local comfort favorites

• Kevin’s Gyros – Flavor-packed Greek eats

• Brick Oven Pizza Bus – Fresh, hot, wood-fired slices

🎆 Fireworks Over the Mississippi

At 8:40 PM, look to the skies for a stunning fireworks display that lights up the riverfront. It’s the perfect way to cap off the summer before heading into the holiday weekend.

🚌 Parking & Shuttle Info

Parking at Mississippi Crossings is limited, but don’t worry—the city is making it easy to get there. Take advantage of the free First Student Shuttle with service from:

• Andrews Park

• Ice Forum

• JRAC

Shuttles drop off on Dean Avenue, and a pedestrian tunnel provides easy access to the venue.
