Day 312: Social Science

Seems like kids get all the fun stuff. Well not this time, folks. Score one for the grown-ups.

There's all kinds of cool things for kids and families to do and see at the Science Museum of Minnesota, but this Wednesday March 30th, it's all about the adults. The Science Museum and 89.3 The Current present Social Science, a mashup of science and social interaction specifically for the 21+ crowd.

This is the maiden voyage for the new series which will be on select Wednesdays. At the first installment, you're invited to enjoy cash bars, food samplings from Crave, Golden Fig, and TeaSource, a DJ, film screenings, adult Pictionary, presentations from local science groups, Science Live theater, and much more goodies. And of course, all of the galleries will be open for you to explore.

Social Science begins this Wednesday the 30th from 7pm to 11pm. You must be at least 21 and show valid I.D. to gain entrance to the museum. Basic price is $8 for museum or MPR members and $12 for non-members. If you want to experience Social Science plus the King Tut exhibit, the prices are $13 for museum members, and $21 for both MPR members or anyone else. If you want to catch all of that plus the Mummies film at the Omnitheater, it's $13 for museum members and $27 for everyone else.
